In a contract that is rumored to cost about $10M, Netflix has landed global rights to the movie ‘Concrete Cowboy,’ a father-son drama featuring Idris Elba that had its first screening in Toronto last September. ┬áNetflix will launch this movie feature sometime in 2021.

Solstice Studios will be releasing a new cut of the Mark Wahlberg Award Contender with the new title “Joe bell.” The release date is February 19, 2021, just in time for an award nomination.
Wahlberg’s story is that of a man walking through the country and talking about bullying after other students bully his gay son. It was directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, while the cast was comprised of Reid Miller, Connie Brighton, and Gary Sinise.

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) announced its Top ten 2020 Canadian movies with Nadia, Butterfly, Beans, and The Nest as part of the selection.
The list contains Funny boy, Canada’s foreign feature movie submission by Deepa Mehta. It is put together by the TIFF programming team’s artistic director and the TIFF co-director Cameroon Bailey, Senior film director Diana Sanchez, and the TIFF programmer Steve Gravestock.
Eligibility: Screening at a Canadian or foreign movie festival.
